About Stewart Ranft
Stewart grew up in Toronto but developed his love for golf at Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club in Port Carling. From an early age Stewart and his family spent the summers cottaging in Muskoka. He started playing golf at the age of 9, and went on to have a successful junior record in Canada before heading to college in the United States on a golf scholarship.
Stewart joined the PGA of Canada in 1984 and began his golf career as the Assistant Professional at The Toronto Golf Club. In 1986 he became the Head Golf Professional at Muskoka Lakes, thereafter, the Golf Professional and Managing Partner of Gravenhurst Pines Golf Club from 1991 to 1999. He decided to pursue other business interests in early 2000, but his heart was not far from the game of golf. Following retirement in 2023, Stewart decided to resume his original passion and rejoined the PGA as a Class A Golf Professional.
Stewart lives in Bracebridge with his wife Laura. They have three adult children, four grandsons and love spending time enjoying the natural beauty of Muskoka and travelling.
